The Story Behind Mirth and Reflections from SD Voyager
Recently, we had the chance to sit down with SD Voyager to share more about the story behind Mirth. Seeing the article published was one of those quiet, meaningful moments for us. Not because it’s press, but because it captured something deeper about why this brand exists in the first place.
Mirth didn’t start as a beverage idea. It started as an observation.
Over time, we both noticed how deeply connected our feelings are to how we care for our bodies. Hydration is one of the simplest forms of care, yet most options on the market were built around stimulation, sugar, or marketing claims rather than genuine well-being.
We kept coming back to a simple question: what would hydration look like if it truly supported how people feel, physically and emotionally?
That question became the foundation of Mirth.
Choosing the Harder Path
From the beginning, we made a deliberate decision not to compromise.
In beverage, there are plenty of ways to move faster. You can lean on vague labeling, use artificial shortcuts, or prioritize speed over integrity. We chose the opposite path.
Mirth is made with real 100% organic fruit juice. No “natural flavors.” No artificial ingredients. Functional hydration that actually works for everyday life.
Those decisions required more formulation cycles, more iteration, and more patience. But they also built the trust and durability that define this brand today.
More Than a Drink
One of the things we appreciated most about the SD Voyager conversation was the chance to clarify something we talk about often:
Mirth is not something that comes from a can.
The drink does, of course. But the feeling does not.
Mirth shows up in moments. It comes from taking care of ourselves. From taking care of each other. From slowing down enough to be present and notice the small good things in life.
A walk outside. A deep breath. A shared laugh. A quiet pause.
These are the moments where joy actually lives.
Our goal has never been to package happiness. It has been to support the conditions where it can naturally emerge.
Building a World Around Everyday Care
That philosophy shapes everything we build around Mirth.
It’s why we created The Little Feels characters, to help people notice and name everyday emotions rather than ignore or bypass them. It’s why we listen closely to families, athletes, and people managing health challenges who rely on hydration daily. And it’s why we continue to build Mirth through A-Frame Venture Studio alongside a diverse group of creators, operators, and partners.
We believe well-being isn’t a single product. It’s an ecosystem of small, consistent choices.
Who Couldn’t Use a Little More Mirth?
The world moves fast. It often asks us to optimize, perform, and push forward without pause.
But in our experience, what helps most is often the opposite.
Slow down. Drink some water. Step outside. Notice how you actually feel.
Those small acts of care create space. And in that space, mirth has a way of finding you.
We’re grateful to SD Voyager for telling part of this story, and even more grateful to the growing community helping us build it in real time.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about a beverage.
It’s about remembering to be human.
And we think the world could use a little more of that.
